T4W - Talk for Writing
Now that we are part of DRET (David Ross Education Trust), children are learning how to read and write in a slightly different way, using T4R (Talk for Reading) and T4W (Talk for Writing).
This week, Years 1 to 6 participated in an enactive experience day to introduce them to their new tests.
T4W enables children to imitate the key language they need for a particular topic orally before they try reading and analysing it. They then adapt and write this story in a range of different ways to make the text their own. Here you can see some Year 3's playing with the Giant's golden 'harp' (guitar!) from Jack and the Beanstalk.
Below are photos of Year 1's egg discovery, Year 4's email from a local business requesting the year group's assistance, and the wolf pawprints that Year 2 discovered one morning!
