Sport is central to life at The Richmond Primary Academy.

At The Richmond Primary Academy, we believe that PE and Sport play an important role in making our vision statement a reality for every pupil, with the potential to change young people’s lives for the better.

The Richmond primary Academy use the Horizon Programme to structure our PE lessons. We are committed to using this resource in developing high quality PE lessons, improving the health and wellbeing of our students, alongside greater opportunities for sporting competitions and clubs for all our young people.

Through the Trust competitions and experiences, and through links with Skegness Grammar school, we provide a packed calendar of experiences for our students. This is complemented with our in-school enrichment programme.

Mrs O'Dare is our PE and Sport leader. The Richmond Primary Academy is a Sportsmark Gold Award holder.

Sportsmark Gold, part of the School Games Mark, is a government-led award scheme launched in 2012, facilitated by the Youth Sport Trust, to reward schools for their commitment to the development of competition across their school and into the community, and we are delighted to have been recognised for our success, and the commitment of our young people to engaging in more active, healthier lives.
